A Passionate Hope by Jill Eileen Smith
Amazon reviews are great when choosing a book to purchase, but are all Amazon reviews/reviewers created equally? If you’ve read many reviews, you might agree some even fall into the hilarious category. Here are a few of my funniest/oddest reviews:
- One-star review of Love Amid the Ashes – I have not read the book yet, but will definitely add it to my TBR list.
- Two-star review of Love in a Broken Vessel – Wonderful book uplifting (then why 2 stars?)
- One-star review of In the Shadow of Jezebel – This was my first time reading from this author and I was disappointed. Jehosheba had to marry a man her grandpa’s age. That was just gross. (Must not have read the Author’s Note that explained the research and timeline. Gross? Yes. Historically accurate? Yep.)
- Three-star review of Isaiah’s Daughter – Mixed emotions about this book. For starters, it was too doggone long. 😃
When I review a book, I try to offer an honest opinion but also give specific aspects of the book I found helpful to my life—spiritual or otherwise. I look for the same positive resources in other reviewers, and I believe the following review of Jill Eileen Smith’s, A Passionate Hope offers those helpful insights.
The reviews at Fizzy Pop Collection blog are searchable by book title and year. Each review I scanned was well-thought-out and gave a fair assessment of the book while maintaining respect for the author and his/her craft. Thank you, Fizzy Pop Blog, for letting me share your review!

I’ve read all of Andrew’s books. I can’t put the book down, when I’m reading, they make you think about your relationship with the Lord, i cant wait till the next book.
